These terms cover the geography app, its optional account, shared tabs and this website, all run by System Operator LLC. Last updated October 14, 2026.
The app
What it is
geography is an iPhone app, and geography.me is its website. Your tabs, places and visits are kept on your iPhone. Privacy says what reaches our servers.
License and purchases
geography is distributed through the App Store and licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Anything bought in it is bought from Apple: payment, refunds and taxes are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
Check before you go
geography reads Apple Maps, public sources and a model’s reading of them, and any of it can be wrong or out of date: a place can close or change its hours, a list can say yes of a place it shouldn’t, a way can take longer, and a border wait is the border guard’s or CBP’s number at the time its page gives, or geography’s arithmetic on their count. For anything that matters, check before you set off, and do not rely on geography alone.
As is
Under Apple’s agreement the app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
The account and shared tabs
The account is free and optional: you sign in with Apple, or with a code sent to your email. It keeps only what Privacy lists, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
A tab you share gets its own page at geography.me: anyone with its link can open it, vote and write in it under a name they choose, so share it with the people you mean to.
Use the account and shared tabs for your own plans: do not try to reach other people’s data, break or overload the service, or get around its limits.
The website
geography.me shows places, lists, neighbourhoods and border waits, and the pages of shared tabs. Read it, link to it and quote it; do not try to break or overload it. Its maps, places, photos and visitors’ words come from Apple Maps and the partners it names, and each border crossing’s page credits its sources and their licences. The site’s own words and design belong to System Operator LLC. Apple and Apple Maps belong to Apple.
All of it
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for geography in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We can update the app, the account, the website and these terms. We date this page when it changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, where System Operator LLC is formed, without regard to conflict of law rules.
